Distance versus arrival.

A pylon is for the approach at speed. A monument is for the entrance. Many programs need both; the ordinance often decides the height.

Choose a pylon when

The lot is set back, the approach is fast, several tenants share one roadside structure, or identity and LED price have to sit on the same highway frame.

  • Long-range identity at driving speed.
  • Fuel price or tenant cabinets on one engineered stack.
  • Height designed to the ordinance, not to a rendering.

Choose a monument when

The job is arrival at driveway speed, a tall pylon is not permitted, or the site needs ground identity that can carry address and tenant panels at pedestrian scale.

  • Dealer, hospitality, campus, and branch entries.
  • Grade, drainage, and landscape integration.
  • Ground-sign rules, which are not the same as pylon rules.

What both still require

Survey, ordinance review, foundations, illumination rules, and an installation sequence. Neither sign type should be specified without the rest of the identity package it sits next to.

Program brief

Plan the rollout before the details become delays.

Send your markets, location count, sign families, and target dates. We will identify the permitting, engineering, production, and installation decisions that shape the program.
